Our Story
Getting to know MountRiverFarm
The idea
It has been our dream since our childhoods to some day give back to the community through Agriculture. As children, we were surrounded by hard-working farmers, serene lands, and the crops that sustain life. For most of our lives after our childhood, somehow we were removed from that - as most of us are.Establishing MountRiverFarm in 2020 was that dream come true. Honestly, we couldn’t believe we were so lucky to be surrounded by the rolling hills, chattery rivers, and the vast expanse of greenery. MountRiverFarm is a space for everyone to experience, unwind, and get an authentic family farm experience. It is USDA / WSDA certified organic, 26 acres, and gorgeous.
The farm is owned by the Singh family. My husband, Sudhir, and I, Namrata, along with our children, are grateful for providing this to the community.
The plants
Organic Hay
We began by producing Organic Hay for our local farmers. And our customers love it! Our local farmer, Dale Rawlins helps us harvest, wrap, and load out hay.

Organic Lavender
In around August 2022, we began working towards our true vision for the farm by planting 3 acres of organic Lavender on the farm (5000 plants). It was a difficult process since we had no equipment, but we had the drive to get it done. We reached out to local volunteers, family, friends, and over several days, completed the plantation. Our farmer, Dale Rawlins helped to prepare the lavender beds. We sustain the plants by watering them via sprinklers, drip irrigation, and good ol’ hand watering. We learnt many skills during this process. We started to hand-make products with our organic Lavender such as soaps, candles, and dry bunches.
For the community
Over the next few months, as our baby Lavenders mature, we will open up the farm for U-pick / U-cut, provide Lavender products in our in-person store, host events for families, and open up for the public to unwind. We also want to provide a space for weddings, photography, and private events. As of now, our website is a great way to purchase our products. Please contact us for additional queries.
Living on the farm
In October 2022, we started building our new home on the property. It has been a challenging journey getting the designs approved and building the utilities, but it will be beautiful living on the farm.
